Body-Centered therapy can provide access to memories, emotions, beliefs and wisdom that are otherwise beyond words and cognition. Body-Centered therapy is is beneficial to people who are experiencing a wide range of challenges including, physical, emotional, relational, and traumatic. Working with Mindfulness-Based therapy techniques, I provide accessible guided meditation practices and awareness development skills that clients can integrate into their daily lives to improve focused attention, support positive shifts in mood, enhance self-awareness, as well as improve physical health and well-being.
Expressive Arts Therapy
Expressive Arts Therapy is a multimodal therapeutic approach that can incorporate writing, movement, drawing, painting, drama, dance and/or music. I guide clients through a personally designed process which encourages the participant to explore their responses, reactions, and insights through pictures, sounds, movement, and conversations with the expressive arts process. The focus is on moment-to-moment experiencing rather than the end-product, thus artistic skill is not required. Expressive Arts Therapy, in individual settings or groups, can be beneficial to clients working through life transitions, grief, trauma, anxiety, and depression as well as those pursuing personal and spiritual exploration.
